Consider Your Ways (Haggai 1:1-12)

SUMMER! Hair gets lighter, Skin gets darker, Water gets warmer, Drinks get colder, Music gets louder, Nights get longer, Life just gets better! Who doesn't love Summer?! Lots of churches that's who - budget gets tighter, attendance gets smaller, God's people get slacker! During a time when physical temps outside are heating up & temptation is for our spiritual temps to cool down, we MUST guard against just that, cooling down. We need to ensure that zeal for the Lord & His House continues to burn hot within us! We need to take some time to examine & potentially reorder our spiritual priorities - 1st Things 1st! The prophet Haggai was faced with a similar task and has timely words for God's people still today no matter their age as we "Consider Our Ways" and "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness" (Mt. 6:33) no matter the season!!
